This weekend (June 1-3) I’ll be in Vanløse, near Copenhagen — at the Fantasticon 2012. It’s going to be a great, great event, and I am really looking forward to it. And I love the theme this year: The Apocalypse.
I’ve gone to the Fantasticon the last two-three years, and I’ve always enjoyed it. This year is going to be different, though, because the Powers That Be have decided to go for an International, large-scale event. That means, among other things, that I will be on a panel with Ellen Datlow herself! And let me be frank here — my first reaction was a mix of “Oh my god!” and a strange, nervous sound in my throat. One of the greatest editors in the weird fiction field, ever. Wow. Be that as it may, I hope to get some books of mine, edited by her, signed;-)
Besides the panel discussion Saturday (moderated by Ralan Conley; the other illuminaries are Knud Larn and H.H. Løyche, both whom I am looking forward to talk to again, as it’s been to long) I will also be talking a little about Lovecraft (surprise, surprise) — “Cthulhu at the End of the World: Cthulhu Mythos and the Apocalypse.” This earth shaking, paradigm-changing event takes place Saturday.
Yeps, it’s going to be in English. Not exactly perfect English, but English nonetheless;-)
And of course you will be able to buy books from H. Harksen Productions throughout it all (at special con prices, and Danish as well as English books). Come see me at the table, let’s have a chat and just plain fun:-)

There are lots of interesting things planned. For instance — you want to see the famous science fiction author Alastair Reynolds? Check. Anne-Marie Vedsø Olesen? Check. Danish zombie epic writer A. Silvestri? Check. The Dark Prince of Danish Horror Steen Langstrup (winner of Dansk Horror Selskabs Award For Best Danish Horror 2011)? Check. Horror writer par excellence Jonas Wilmann? Check.
The list goes on… But you get the picture, right? I urge you to come, if you have the chance. Even if only for an hour or two.
